Simple Search Not so Simple to Us
We think of uCommerce as much more than just an add-in to
Umbraco. But at the end of the day that's what we're doing so I
find it interesting that the first add-in to uCommerce was released
on Our Umbraco:
Simple Search 4 uCommerce done by René Pjenggaard from
Skybrud.
It's truly wonderful to see this happen and we hope to see a
growing trend of others extending uCommerce and sharing their work
with the community.
Filabel.dk Goes Live on uCommerce Pro
Danish baby clothing seller Filabel goes online using
uCommerce. The requirements for the store were highly specialized
making uCommerce the ideal choice for running the site.

The site has a very interesting usage profile with peaks of very
high traffic in very short timespans due to direct marketing
efforts thus the site needed optimizations for these peaks.
The solution partner Afdeling18 who did the site had
to make heavy use of the uCommerce LINQ API to create a highly
customized product presentation.
In fact the uCommerce team is so impressed with this custom
piece that it's now finding it's way back into the uCommerce core
making the feature widely available to all uCommerce sites in a
future release.

Winners of the Polo Shirt Contest
Attendees at our session at Codegarden 10 had the opportunity to
get their hands on the elusive and exclusive uCommerce polo shirt.
Even more importantly every person who got a shirt also got a
chance to enter to drawing to win a uCommerce Pro license by
snapping a group shot of them wearing the shirt with their
colleagues.
Congratulations goes to Garrison Atkinson from Broadangle and Chris Houston from Vizioz! Both are the winners of a
uCommerce Pro license.

uCommerce Demoed in Front of 200 Attendees of Microsoft
Community Day 2010
We were fortunate enough to get a chance to show of some of the
features of
uCommerce at Microsoft Community Day 2010 and of course we
jumped at it. 200 attendees with varying backgrounds got a peek at
uCommerce.
With just seven minutes available we had to make the most of the
time but still managed to get uCommerce and the uCommerce Store
installed, demoed a couple of XSLT extensions, the pipeline system,
and we ended on a high note with a look at the flexibility of
product definitions.
